    CNC Hair Prosthesis

The CNC 3D Printed Hair Prosthetic is a nonsurgical hair loss solution from renowned Italian company CRLAB (Cesare Ragazzi Laboratories) that is 100% customizable to your hair and scalp profile.

The CNC is a medical grade prosthesis, which utilizes 3D scanning, 100% unprocessed hair, and custom specifications to perfectly duplicate the look and feel of the client’s natural hair and is attached securely to the client’s scalp for an option of daily, weekly, or extended wear (up to 4-6 weeks at a time). A seamless fit that adapts to your daily activities.

This beautiful prosthetic is ideal for men, women, teens and young children with thinning hair, or if you are experiencing trichotillomania, or have Alopecia Totalise/Universalis and for the transgender person. You will feel like you have the hair that represents YOU and live life to its fullest.

    3D Printed Hair

3D printed hair technology consists of producing an exact replica of your scalp using our patented 3D scanner. From this scan, we create a clone membrane custom to the morphology and contours of your scalp.

    The Base

The base of the clone membrane is constituted by a special polymer resin that has been dermatologically tested and designed to provide absolute comfort and stability. The polymer resin is known as your “second scalp” offering a seamless hairline with the appearance of hair coming out directly from the scalp.

Natural pigments, colour-matched to your scalp, are added to the polymer base for seamless integration.

    Natural Hair

Only the highest-grade, 100% natural, unprocessed, virgin hair is sourced to create the CNC prosthetic. All hair used has its cuticles intact. We custom blend ponytails to create a perfect colour match, with curl pattern and denier of hair in mind.

Each hair is then individually grafted onto the polymer base by hand, with attention to the precise density and growth pattern of the client’s natural hair.

The final result is hair that moves and feels like hair coming directly from your scalp. Colour, cut, style your CNC like you would your bio hair.

    Application

The prosthetic can be applied on top of your bio hair without the need to cut or shave your existing hair. The CNC is attached using liquid or solid medical grade adhesives (certified by the American FDA – Food and Drug Administration) that integrates safely with the host site. You’ll undergo an allergy and compatibility test before any materials come in contact with your skin.

We also offer alternative attachment options for those clients interested in daily or weekly wear instead of extended wear. We will walk you through the attachment options and provide suggestions based on your goals and lifestyle.

    Length of Wear

For extended wear, depending on the area and size of the application, the CNC should be changed roughly every 4-6 weeks at your local CRLAB clinic. During this appointment, we will safely remove the prosthetic using a mild solvent, cleanse the scalp with a scalp treatment custom to your hair and scalp profile, clean and disinfect the system, and reattach and style your CNC.

Regular maintenance checks are essential to ensure your prosthetic functions well and looks its best.

The CNC prosthetic can also be worn daily or weekly using solid tape adhesives that integrate safely with the host site and can allow you to control your own length of wear.

    Your Appointment

Begin with a FREE, zero-obligation consultation with our CNC experts.

When you decide to move forward with the CNC, we will start with an in-clinic assessment of your hair and scalp by our Certified Trichologist, and work together to design your prosthetic. We will factor in your current hair and scalp profile, the cause of your hair loss, the shape of your face, the texture and colour of your existing hair, and even your PH and oil levels of your scalp. We will also perform an allergy patch test.

We then take measurements of your scalp using our 3D scanner. These measurements, along with your prosthetic specifications, are sent to our factory in Bologna, Italy for the construction of your CNC.

Once we receive your completed prothetic, we will set up an appointment for your first CNC application and cut-in.

    Why CNC?

    • 3D printing and scalp mapping for 100% custom fit
    • 100% unprocessed, human hair
