CAROLINE RUGGIERO, CEO & Senior Trichologist
Caroline Ruggiero is a trailblazer in the field of trichology and serves as the CEO of Truly You Hair and Scalp Clinic. As one of Canada’s first certified and practicing Trichologists, she has dedicated her career to advancing hair and scalp health. Caroline holds an Honours Degree from the University of Toronto and is certified by the International Association of Trichologists (I.A.T). She is also proud to serve on the I.A.T Board, where her journey into trichology began.
Caroline’s commitment to education is evident in her extensive postgraduate studies, including training at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN) and certification as a Polarized Light Technician through the Italian Academy of Hair Microscopy (IAHM). Currently, she is pursuing a fellowship under renowned dermatologist Dr. Jeff Donovan, further solidifying her expertise.
As a Director on the board of the Canadian Hair Loss Council (CHLC), Caroline works tirelessly to provide resources and education to both professionals and patients across Canada. She also maintains global connections as a member of the American Hair Loss Council (AHLC) and a regular delegate at the European Hair Research Congress.
Caroline’s contributions to trichology have earned her numerous accolades, including the 2022 Ronald Salinger Award for advancing trichology worldwide, the Brilliant Minded Women Self-Development Award in 2022, and the Poland/Canada Chamber Excellence Award as Trichologist of the Year in 2019.
In addition to her clinical work, Caroline is the Program Director of Truly You Academy. She leads the Hair Practitioner Certificate Course (HPCC), an intensive trichology training program accredited by the I.A.T., equipping professionals with practical skills to address hair and scalp disorders.
With a passion for innovation and education, Caroline continues to elevate trichology as a respected science in Canada and beyond.
AMALIA RUGGIERO, President & Founder
Amalia Ruggiero founded Truly You Hair Solution Centre Inc in 1994. At the time the company started by providing a space for women and children that have lost their hair due to cancer treatments. Her personal experience was the driving force to create a full service clinic that assists patients in addressing the appearance related side effects of cancer treatments.
30 years later, Truly You is a full-service clinic, addressing all forms of hair loss and scalp health. Our staff of expert technicians are fully trained in hair replacement and Trichological therapies. Collectively we provide our clients with a renewed sense of wellness when confronting all aspects of fine or thinning hair, hair loss and scalp ailments.
Truly You was created in response to a distinct need in the market. Today, Amalia is proud to have paved the path for a company that is continuing to help people suffering in silence from various disorders of the hair and scalp. We are now proudly serving individuals from across the GTA, Ontario, Canada and beyond!
